Knock Knock Knock
The door was open.
I came in the house followed by uncertain whispers
I met a red child.
The child gave me a reddish passion.
I met an orange child.
The child gave me a scarlet flutter.
I met a yellow child.
The child gave me a sunlight pleasure.
I met a green child.
The child gave me an emerald peace.
I met a blue child.
The child gave me an azure dream.
I met a navy child.
The child gave me a cobalt blue endurance.
I met a purple child.
The child gave me a violet nostalgia.
The gifts that they left became a seed.
The seed bloomed a rainbow flower.
The seed bloomed a rainbow flower.
The rainbow petals of the flower blossomed in my heart.
This poem gave me chills, Dabin! I loved how you color coded it. It shows such wonderful imagery woven within a story that others can also feel within themselves. Keep writing poetry!!
